THE CLASSICAL 2024

Back in 2020 , we saw the need of a platform where local musicians and dancers from the Classical genre can showcase their talent and allow this form of music and dance to reach the masses. We couldn’t let the pandemic stand in our way and we took the show online for the past two years.

Everyone loves Classical Music, some of you just don’t know it yet - and the goal & purpose of this festival is to make Classical music and dance a part of as many lives as possible.” said Sanjay Rangnekar, curator of the festival

This year, over 5 classical music performances representing different genres collaborated to enthrall more than a hundred classical music and dance enthusiasts attended the festival to a full house at the Maja Prentice Theatre in Mississauga, Ontario. .

We had a bouquet of different art forms this year to keep the audience stuck to their chairs- from Opera singers to devotional Sufi performances as well as raag based Hindustani Classical. From the lyrical Kathak dance to a unique and rare fusion of Shehnai with Sitar accompanied by the Indian Tabla… we had it all jampacked into this concert that turned out to be a musical extravaganza. It will be surely to stay in the memory of the audience in years to come.
